2009 Oregon Truffle Foray

Info And Registration

Where:   To be held in 2-3 Locations near Salem, Oregon

When:   Friday Night January 30th Saturday January 31st, and Sunday February 1st, 2009

     Come and join Chris Matherly,  2009 Morel Mushroom Hunting Club's First Truffle Member Foray. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so make sure you register immediately, as it will be on a first come first served basis, and limited to the first 15 registrants.

Two main types of Oregon truffles are currently harvested in the state, the Oregon white truffles (Tuber oregonense) and (Tuber gibbosum). The while truffles are actually two species that fruit at different times of the year, but are sold as the same truffle.

What is included?

* Friday Night Meet and Chat at the Park Office.

* 1 1/2- Days of guided Mushroom hunting.

* Lunch and drinks for Day One.

* A very nice Morel Club T-Shirt.

* A DVD movie of our foray and events.

* A Mushroom presentation by Chris Matherly Questions and answers/ slideshow, snacks!

* And best of all- A Steak and Mushroom Cooked-Out Feast! with A Sampling of one of Chris' Unique Pasta/ Fettuccini Alfredo and Truffle Recipe on Sunday. 

* Assistance with Camping/ Park Lodging/ or finding a Hotel.
