2008 Washington State Mount Saint Helens Matsutake/ Pocini/ and Lobster Foray Info And Registration
Come and join Chris Matherly and August Steinborn, a professional Commercial Mushroom harvester in Washington State for the 2008 Morel Mushroom Hunting Club's Mount Saint Helens Matsutake and Porcini Foray and tour. We will find lots of prime Matsutake, as well as Porcini (King Boletes), as well as Lobster Mushrooms and other great edibles on this Foray! We will also take a brief tour of an active Volcano! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so make sure you register immediately, as it will be on a first come first served basis, and limited to the first 20 registrants.

Itinerary:
Thursday, October 2nd- Arrival in Yakima, meet and
greet. 7:00 PM
Supplied transportation to Yakima from Seattle if you need it.
Friday.
Depart to Mount St Helens, a 2.5 hour drive from Yakima. We will leave
early, and check into our cabins all in the same day, hopefully in time to take a quick
hike in the woods!
Saturday-
8:30am. and on to 4:00pm guests will be be given hands on instruction on
harvesting. Sandwiches and drinks are provided for lunch.
7:00pm. Cooking Demonstration
Sunday
We again hunt, starting at 8:30 AM, break for lunch which is provided, and
then take a 1/2 day Volcano/ Sightseeing tour. Sunday 6:30 PM, a big
Mushroom and steak feast! Grilled back at the cabins.
Monday
Leave cabins by 9;00 AM, Again, if you need transportation back to Seattle, we will leave Monday Morning.
-A Satellite Phone will be onsite in case of emergencies-

Transportation to and from Seattle (if you need it) All lunches are included and drinks, I will do some cooking demonstrations each evening. The last day will include a huge Mushroom and steak Feast!
There are Cabins available at Saint Helens, or camping is also available.
Any necessary assistance in helping you with travel. It will be best to fly into Seattle, as fares are best here. I have had prices as cheap as $450.00 from Atlanta.
