These differ from the European varieties, and also the United States have numerous varieties as well, so we put them into their own "group".

Description:

Common Name: American Caesar's Mushroom Cap: Bright Red to Orange, yellowish near edge with age, 2-6 inches. Flesh:   Gills:   Spore Print:   Stalk:   Fruiting:   Range:   Edibility: Not as delicious as the European variety.  Look-alikes: Note: All of the above mushrooms were found in September 2004 in Crawford County in Georgia.
