Amanita coprinoides (Not an official name yet)

Undescribed species of section Vaginatae...I think I saw this
in Alabama many years ago. The thing I remember had an extraordinarily
thin skin and flesh and looked very much like a Coprinus when it was mature.
I was with Drs. Bas and Jenkins and Bas jokingly called it "Amanita
coprinoides." It would be a good name for it. Did you happen to
collect it and get a spore print? -Rod.
Yes, it was whitish-cream color.- Chris M
