Upcoming Member Forays (Guided Mushroom Hunts w/ Cooking Demos)
Since I started doing forays in 2001, my joy for teaching people that don't know, and learning more from those that do know about mushrooms, who attend these forays, has continued to grow and grow. With the two spring 2009 Morel forays being quickly booked up and as many as 20 on a waiting list, I have decided to start an earlier registration for the upcoming forays, giving everyone ample time to make plans and arrangements to attend the foray of their choice. I now am offering Fall, Winter and Spring Forays for the upcoming mushroom seasons. To register early, it is as little as a $50.00 deposit per person to hold your spot. You will be billed the balance 30-60 days prior to the trip. These forays are the best possible way to build your own knowledge and have hands-on experience in the woods! And even if you are quite knowledgeable yourself, meet new friends and enjoy some of the best tasting mushroom dishes created by Chris that one can imagine!
Please note: Every Foray includes mushroom identification classes during the power point presentations, and you will be given a test. If you pass you get a certificate of completion!

Upcoming Forays For Members In 2009:
In October, 2008, I suffered an injury to my left knee and right foot. The pain has been terrible. I am forced to cut way back in 2009, as I am not able to hike day after day for miles upon miles. I have got to let this heal up. It will also give me the extra time that I need to finally complete a couple of books that I am writing and some DVD productions as well. Maybe as the year progresses, and I can see that things are healing, I might add more Fall Forays to the schedule. Due to the much lower number of Forays that I will be doing in 2009, they will fill up almost immediately, so if you are serious about attending, you will need to register immediately. Also, if you have any interest in hosting a foray in your area, also please contact me, and I will speak to you about it. Also, I am available to give private forays and hunts, usually during the week, just contact me for info.
