Disclaimer On Shipping Wild Fresh Mushrooms:

Morels and other fresh edibles are highly perishable and fragile. For this reason you should have them shipped at a location where you are available to receive your shipment when it comes. We cannot deliver to a P.O. box. Your work is a great place to have your mushrooms shipped to if you have a P.O. box or cannot be home to accept delivery.

 Expect your mushrooms to be delivered on Tuesday - Friday. Someone should be available to accept delivery between  Fed-Ex will drop the package if no one is there.  It is important to leave a phone number in case we need to get in touch with you. The morels go out as they have been paid for. If you pre-ordered early in the year, expect to be one of the first shipments and so on. If you have pre-paid and there is some kind of disaster on our end your payment will be returned in full. Other mushrooms cannot be pre-ordered, as their season is not so predictable.

In rare cases of severe weather, Fed Ex’s planes run behind schedule. Fed-Ex nor Morel Mushroom Hunting Club stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather. Please advise if your order is way late and we will try to make a claim and get you out another shipment.

Mushrooms may lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to shrinkage during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your morels may be slightly dry to touch which is normal. Shipping them too wet will only result in spoiled mushrooms.

 Mushrooms do come from the woods so don’t be alarmed if you find some ants or larvae munching on the inside of a mushroom. These guys also know what’s good! Clean, cook, and enjoy.

Overnight shipments are required for the best possible freshness, and usually a 10:30 A.M. time is achieved, but some areas do not have that availability, and they tend to give a 3:00 P.M. deadline.

If your order does not arrive fresh, and has spoiled, know that every possible step has been taken. I will try to make it right with you with another shipment, but you will have to pay for the shipping costs again.
