Top 20 Finalists- 2007 Photo Contest
(5 or more from Each Category)
Please Read below carefully, as I do not want to discard votes simply because you didn't follow instructions!
To Vote, EMAIL me and place the (Photo Number's) in the subject field! Remember, this year, there is one Grand Prize Winner for total number of overall votes, and 3 First Place Winners for each of the Three categories. Simply pick your favorite picture and email me your pick. Deadline for votes is March 15th, 2007. You may vote once for each category, but they must all come in the same email. In other words, send me your email for your 3 total votes, one in each category! If I get multiple votes from the same email address, I will discard them. Please include your full name with the email. I realize that many of you have 15 different email accounts. So to fix that possible problem, include your name with your vote. I will allow up to (4) votes from separate email accounts from the same family. In other words- Mom, Dad, Son, Daughter. Midnight March 15th, the winners will be available for viewing by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. Prizes will be shipped out within one week. Good Luck! Remember, I looked for these features when picking the finalists, you should consider the same things: Sharpness, composition, color, beauty, surroundings, uniqueness, and did it "dazzle" me? I will add my comments about each of the finalist photos after the contest is over. I will also add total number of votes under each photo. In the past, some were as close as 2 or three votes from winning! This year, I had an overwhelming amount of submissions, about 350 in all! Therefore, I was not able to narrow it down to 15 finalists, but had to go a bit more- 20 finalists!

I picked this one as a finalist because it was a clear shot, and a unique shade of gray.

I am sorry, but this one was so strange and ugly, I had to make it a finalist. I guess no one else has my pity for it.

I thought this one would have gone higher. If the sun had been more even, or maybe even on a cloudy day, this would have won the contest. These Calypso Orchids are just beautiful, and rare! I have never scene a photo of a Lady's Slipper with a Morel- like to see this....

This is most assuredly the Blackest Blackfoot Morel photo I have ever scene. Although not the prettiest Morel species, it had to make the finalists because of it's strangeness and rarity.

This photo is by far the largest Morel that has ever been submitted to me. I have heard stories of a 24 incher, but never a photo! I estimate this to be 18-19 inches! Way cool! I have a concrete Morel in my yard that is 18inces tall. I cannot imagine seeing this in person! This one prompted me to do the largest Morel of 2007 Contest!
