Identifying Your Mushroom Find

If you are completely a beginner, and have no idea of any mushroom types, maybe you just happened to have some large or strange mushrooms pop up recently in your flower bed or yard, and you have ended up here, trying to find out what you have found. You have come to the right place. Many mushrooms have minor differences between one variety of a species to another, and cannot be identified solely on a photograph. You may have to do a spore print, or even view the spores under a microscope to reveal an accurate ID. We can at least, (hopefully), get you going in the right direction on your identification. Below, there are a series of questions/links to click on to narrow the search down to possibly a precise ID. If not, at least we can narrow it down to a group and you will be able to "flip" through each species and view the photos and descriptions and find your ID that way. I also openly invite you to email me photos of your find, and will do what I can to help you. Good luck and happy Shrooming. I invite you to email me with any results that this site has helped you with!
