Description:

Common Name: Bright Yellow Russula   Cap: 2"-3", bright yellow.   Flesh:  White, unchanging. Gills: White, brittle   Spore Print:   Stalk: Bright yellow, nearly hollow.  Fruiting:   Range:   Edibility: Very good.  Look-alikes: Other varieties the flesh will turn grayish when damaged. Russula_flavida Note: All of the above mushrooms were found in October 2004 in Columbus, Georgia.
